Classic Hummus

Skill level: beginner


No need for store-bought hummus with this easy, zesty recipe.

Ingredients:

1 can (540 mL)
chickpeas, drained and rinsed
¼ cup (50 mL)
ReaLemon* Lemon Juice
½ cup (125 mL)
tahini
¼ cup (50 mL)
each, water and olive oil
1-2
cloves garlic
½ tsp (2 mL)
paprika
1½ tsp (7 mL)
ground cumin

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in food processor and process until smooth. If mixture is too thick, add a little water or lemon juice. Adjust seasonings if necessary. Garnish as desired.

Makes about 2 cups (500 mL).
